Hello Lovelies
It’s such a joy curating your boxes of lovely. But when I’m really honest, it can be a little bit stressful too. Will you love all the gorgeous things? Is there enough variety – within the boxes AND month on month? How will the lovely things present in the box? Is it colourful enough? Quality vs Quantity?! Argh!!
Having a collection of gorgeous things that are a delight to open is a given. But I think you deserve more than that. Supporting boutique NZ businesses is really important to us, so when we find the ones that we love, we’re excited to share them with you. Stunning George and Edi candles in our October boxes and the caramely coffee from Meebz are excellent examples of this.
And we also want to bring you gorgeous things that aren’t readily available in NZ and that you don’t see everywhere. Unearthing and sharing these wee gems is just a delight. This month I’ve had fabulous feedback on the Kwohtation affirmations from New York that we tracked down, the delicious Wondersnacks handmade in Melbourne, and the elegant handkerchiefs featuring prints from the very iconic Liberty of London.
Working closely with these partners has been fabulous and takes some of the stress out of it. Many of our partners are small one-women businesses too, supplying me with not only their wonderful products, but with generous, valuable business advice too.
So I am proud to champion our partners and share a little bit of their stories through our partner profiles. This month we profile three of the best; Sarah from George and Edi, Christy from Wondersnacks and Janine from Kwohtations. I hope you enjoy reading about the brilliant women behind your wonderful goodies.
Jo x
PS – I know most of you don’t want to even think about Christmas – but I kid you not, this week I was shocked to get an email from a supplier taking last orders not for Christmas, but for Valentines and Easter. EASTER?!?!
