CHRISTY, WONDERSNACKS

Look – with flavours that include “The Hangover” and “Kamikaze”, Society of Lovely was destined to partner with Wondersnacks.  Tasty savoury snacks aren’t always easy to find, so Christy and her duck fat roasted nuts (mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm) were on our SoL product wishlist from the start.

How did these amazing creations come to be?! Christy was frustrated and underwhelmed by savoury snacking options.  The choice seemed to be plain and bland, or heavily processed and full of additives.  Luckily, with experience as a pastry cook and a palate for the tasty,

Christy has been able to bring us the glorious marvel that is Wondersnacks.  Enjoy lovelies!!

What makes you most proud about Wondersnacks?

The fact that I built it from a vision, into what it is now. When I started Wondersnack, I wanted to make snacks with unique flavours that excite, but taking that a step further by using only real ingredients. I wasn’t sure how far it would go, but nearly 7 years later, I’m very happy to say that we’ve definitely found a sweet spot.

At SoL, we’re all about gorgeous things for amazing women.

What’s your favourite “thing” and does it come with a story?

There isn’t a specific ‘thing’, however I do have a collection of cherished Agatha Christie novels amassed over many years. I read them when I’m feeling stressed or overwhelmed, and they provide just the escape I need.

We love giving women permission to indulge.  How would you spend an ultimate day of indulgence?

I love to eat, so it would definitely have to start with that! After a sleep in, we’d brunch at my favourite Melbourne laneway café, Krimper. It’s located in a converted warehouse down an unassuming alleyway near where we are, and I love the high ceilings, and the fact that there is plenty of space even if the café is packed. After that, we might have a stroll down the Botanical Gardens and the Arts Precinct along St Kilda Road, and spend the late afternoon indulging in afternoon tea at The Windsor. We would then catch an evening show at one of the theatres dotted around Melbourne CBD, and finish the night off at my favourite bar Trinket, preferably in the secret cocktail bar that you enter through a WARDROBE (yes, you read that right!)

Who would you give a random act of lovely to and why?

My parents, and my dear husband. They have done (and still do) so much for me. It’s a cliché, but truly, Wondersnack and I would not be here without them.
