HARRIET, SPACEMASKS

Believe the hype…. Products don’t reach ‘cult status’ without reason, and while my accolades should be more than enough (if I’ve had a tough day, I wear one to bed)…Spacemasks have official awards too.  Lots of them.  And for good reason.

Recognising that not enough of us take the time to unwind, Harriet is on a mission to encourage us to pop on a Spacemask and drift into blissful relaxation.  A self-heating mask that smells divine, Beauty Editors and grateful customers can’t get enough.  Helping thousands of customers take 15 minutes of ultimate rest, I would say Spacemasks are the epitome of Permission to Indulge…

What makes you most proud about Spacemasks?

I’m proud of myself for keeping both the Spacemask ship afloat as well as our home.  With a husband, 4 young daughters, 2 naughty Dachshunds, 2 rabbits and a hamster, the struggle is real! Prior to launching Spacemask in March 2017, I’d never sold anything but a few brownies at the girls’ school fair!

At SoL, we’re all about gorgeous things for amazing women.

What’s your favourite “thing” and does it come with a story?

I’m a sucker for aromatherapy bubble bath and bath oils.  When I was 22 and my mother was very ill and I couldn’t sleep, a family friend and facialist rustled up a concoction of oils for me to add to my bath and I slept through the alarm the next morning.  I’ve never looked back.

We love giving women permission to indulge.

How would you spend an ultimate day of indulgence?

I find it very hard to switch off which is the main reason I created Spacemasks.  If I’m feeling particularly knackered or drained, I book a sneaky facial or massage. Indulgent but essential.

Who would you give a random act of lovely to and why?

I have made a lot of new friends via my Instagram page @spacemasks (Harriets Insta page also has a cult following, I would highly recommend checking it out.... Jo) and receive messages all day long from followers (I make a point of always replying.) One especially good egg is Anna who, despite also having 4 daughters, has been a surrogate host twice, enabling 2 families to have a child when they might otherwise not have been able.  We’ve met in real life and she has to be one of the kindest, most selfless people I have ever met.
